A2Z is Hiring a Full-Time CEO Assistant
Location: Malaysia
The candidate must be willing to learn new things (from all perspectives: legal, culture, business) as the company expands to new countries and regions.
Responsibilities and Time Allocations:
Legal & Finance Support (45%):
- Assist the CEO with legal and financial tasks, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and preparing financial reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions, prepare expense reports, and maintain financial records with the CEO.
- Expect to deal with all State's laws and even outside the U.S. (ASEAN) collaborating and coordinating with lawyers and legal firms.
- Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare reports to provide insights on financial performance and trends.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the organization.
- Has practical skills in accounting and taxation.
Marketing (20):
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to increase sales and revenue.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and marketing, to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends and competition to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns.
- Continuously gather and analyze customer feedback to improve sales and marketing strategies.
Administrative Support (35%):
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
- Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
- Assist in coordinating travel arrangements and logistics for the CEO.
- Collaborate with the team in designing wireframes for various projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and project coordination.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
- Any other administrative tasks assigned by the CEO such as organizing events, answering phone calls, emails.
Qualifications:
- Great listener and implementor.
- Problem solver; no-excuse mindset.
- Has a sense of responsibility such that he/she will prepare for tasks before even the CEO asks.
- Prior experience in software industry and startups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Patient when things don’t work out and willing to participate in developing solutions.
- Good level of IT knowledge.
- Exceptional written and verbal and communication skills in English, Indian and Malay.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Integrity, loyalty, and a results-driven mindset.
- Minimizes mistakes and learns from them.
Salary and Benefits:
- Monthly salary of 500 MYR.
- Possibility for a % share based on the candidate's performance during the probationary period (the percentage of share will be discussed during the interview).
- Paid annual leave (20 days). This number will increase in the coming years.

Bonus Requirements
- Prior experience working in or with entities around the world.
- Worked previously as CEO/administrative assistant.
- International exposure.
Candidates will be placed on a paid 3-month probationary period.
